    After morning breakfastdrive to Munnar enroute visit Cheyyappara Water Falls.Overnight at hotel

    Today after morning breakfast full day city tour of Munnarincluding visit the tea plantations, Tea Museum, the Eravikulam Nationalpark home of the endangered Niligiri Thar (Ibex), followed by visit to theMattupetty dam, the Kundala Lake and other scenic spots. Overnight at Hotelin Munnar

      Day excursion trip to Kanyakumari including visit to Kumari AmmanTemple - The temple is devoted to the Goddess Parvathi as Devi Kanya- theVirgin Goddess, Vivekananda Memorial - The Vivekananda Memorial has beenbuilt on the Vivekananda Rock and is devoted to Swami Vivekananda, GandhiMandapam - This memorial stands on the place where the ashes of MahatmaGandhi was kept for public viewing before being immersed into the sea and otherplace. Kerala, often referred to, as God’s Own Country is a place where nature has casts its spell and the land looks blessed with the unmatched splendor of the verdant green and fertile landscapes, exotic backwaters and the vastness of the sea.

This charming state is situated in the south-western region of the country and is bordered by Tamil Nadu to the south and east, Karnataka in the north and Lakshadweep Sea to the east. Thiruvanathupuram is the capital and one of the largest cities of Kerala followed by Kochi and Kozhikode.

In a country like India where each state has something to offer and are constantly competing with the other states to attract more tourists, Kerala jostles its way and emerges as a leading travel destination due to its perfect blend of natural splendor and cultural extravaganza.

Kerala is considered as land of festivals, with numerous festivals falling across the year. The national festival of Kerala isOnam, marking 10 day long festivities across the state, happening between August-September. The second biggest festival is X'mas due to large Christian population in the state, celebrated in grand zest in many cities, particularly in Kochi and Kottayam. All Muslim festivals are celebrated among the community in grand way, especially in Malabar where they form majority. Apart from major religious festivals, most of temples hosts annual festivals as part of anniversary celebrations, famous for large parade of decorated elephants, temple orchestration and fireworks. The most famous among them is Thrissur Pooramcelebrated in the Thrissur town during April-May.

Other major festivals celebrated are Vishu(Malayalam New Year day mostly on April 14th),Thiruvathira (considered sacred for Hindu women celebrated during December) and Holy Easter Week. National secular holidays like Independence Day (August 15th), Republic Day (January 26th), Naval Week (December 1st week), Nehru Trophy Vallam Kalli (Snake-boat race in Alleppy on 2nd Saturdays of August) etc are celebrated in grand way in various cities.
