Overview

Day 01: Guwahati – Shillong (100 KM. / 03 hrs approx)
Meet and assist by our representative at the airport & transfer to Shillong, called 'Scotland of the East' (100 kms 3 hrs). Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay will be at Shillong.

Day 02: Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong
After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (60 kms, 1Ѕhrs), the wettest place in the world. You will see the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known Mawsmai. Evening return to Shillong, en-route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. Overnight stay will be at Shillong.

Day 03: Shillong Sight Seeing
After breakfast visit Don Bosco Monument, Ward\’s Lake, Botanical Garden and Lady Hydri Park. Evening free for personal activities. Overnight stay will be at Shillong.

Day 04: Shilong – Guwahati Airport / Station
After breakfast check out from the hotel & transfer to Guwahati airport for onward journey.

Scotland (Scottish Gaelic: Alba (Scottish Gaelic: [ˈal̪ˠapə] ( listen))) is a country that is part of the United Kingdom.[12][13][14] Occupying the northern third of the island of Great Britain, it shares a border with England to the south and is bounded by the North Sea to the east, the Atlantic Ocean to the north and west, and the North Channel and Irish Sea to the south-west. In addition to the mainland, Scotland is made up of more than 790 islands[15] including the Northern Isles and the Hebrides.

Guwahati – Shillong:

Guwahati formerly known as Pragjyotishpura  and Durjaya in ancient Assam (Kamrup) and Gauhati in the modern era — is an ancient urban area and largest city of Assam and northeastern India. It is one of the fastest developing cities in India and is a major city in Eastern India and often referred as "gateway" of North Eastern Region of the country.

Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya, one of the smallest states in India and home to the Khasis. It is the headquarters of the East Khasi Hills district and is situated at an average altitude of 4,908 feet (1,496 m) above sea level, with the highest point being Shillong Peak at 6,449 feet (1,966 m). Shillong is the 330th most populous city in India with population of 143,007 according to the 2011 census. It is said that the rolling hills around the town reminded the European settlers of Scotland. Hence, Shillong is known as "Scotland of the East." The population density of the state of Meghalaya in the current decade is 342 people per sq mile.
 

Cherrapunjee:

Cherrapunji  About this sound second pronunciation (help·info); currently the historical name Sohra is more commonly used; alternative spellings are Cherrapunjee and Charrapunji), is a subdivisional town in the East Khasi Hills district in the Indian state of Meghalaya. It is credited as being the second wettest place on Earth. However, nearby Mawsynram currently holds that record. Though, it still holds the world record for the most rainfall in a calendar month and in a year. It received 9,300 mm (366 in) in July 1861 and 26,461 mm (1,041.75 in) between 1 August 1860 and 31 July 1861.
