On arrival in Auckland, ‘The City of Sails’, seat in coach passengers will be met by our local representative and to your hotel.

 

After breakfast depart Auckland, travelling along the Seabird Coast to visit Miranda Shorebird Centre. Continue through Thames and Coromandel town, visiting the Rapaura Water gardens and taking a ride on the Driving Creek Rail narrow gauge train en route. Continue to Whitianga for the night.

 

After breakfast visit or view the most famous beaches in the Coromandel area today –Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove, Hahei, Cook’s Beach and Mercury Bay. Take the Whitianga ferry (Seat in Coach only) to continue your tour exploring the Coromandel Pennisula and beaches, including Otama Beach Reserve and Matarangi. Return to Whitianga for the evening. (The exact order of today’s tour will depend on tides for that day to allow you to experience Hot Water Beach’s thermal waters).

 

Breakfast at Hotel, morning for Leisure. This afternoon depart for Tauranga visiting the Matatoki Cheese Farm on route.

 

Morning after breakfast is free to enjoy Tauranga before continuing through to the geothermal city of Rotorua at your leisure. This evening, enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert with Dinner

 

After breakfast visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see boiling mud pools and roaring geysers. Following this, visit Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand’s trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agrodome for a New Zealand sheep and farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of the industry. This afternoon return to Auckland through the lush Waikato region.
