Description :

Singapore: Singapore is a huge city with several district articles containing sightseeing, restaurant, nightlife and accommodation listings. The center of the city located in the south — consisting roughly of the Orchard road shopping area, the Riverside, the new downtown Marina Bay area and also the skyscrapers-filled Shenton way financial district known in acronym-loving Singapore as the CBD (Central Business District). A separate island once a military fort developed into a resort, Sentosa is the closest that Singapore gets to Disneyland, now with a dash of gambling and Universal Studios thrown in. The Merlion was designed as an emblem for the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) in 1964. The Merlion has a lion head and a fish body resting on a crest of waves. The lion head symbolizes the legend of the rediscovery of Singapore, as recorded in the "Malay Annals". In ancient times, Singapore was known as Temasek, a Javanese word for sea. Singapore is in fact one of the most enjoyable cities in Southeast Asia. As you zoom in from one of the world's best airports along the lushly tree-shaded expressway or on the zippy MRT train line. Malaysia: In the heart of Asia lies a land of many cultures, wonders and attractions; Malaysia is one of the most pleasant, hassle-free countries to visit in Asia. Malaysia is a deluge on the senses – a melting pot of cultures, with Malays, Chinese and Indians forming a majority alongside dozens of indigenous tribes. The landscape is similarly diverse – home to the world's oldest rainforest, its largest cave system, and the tallest mountain peak between New Guinea and the Himalayas. There are the beautiful tea plantations of the Cameron Highlands, the timeless Malay kampungs (villages) of the East Coast, and the indigenous longhouses of Malaysian Borneo. In the cities, a modern panorama of skyscrapers contrasts with a deeply rooted sense of history, with old shop houses, mosques and temples nestled up against the grand architecture of colonial times. Traders and medicine men still barter their wares on street corners, and the sweet stench of tropical fruits and spices hangs thick in the air. The 88-storey PETRONAS Twin Towers is the world's tallest twin structure (famously used in the film Entrapment). It is right in the heart of KL and includes office buildings, conference halls, a sprawling park and an up market shopping complex (KLCC). The KL Tower, all 421m of it, is a main feature of the KL's skyline and the world's fourth-tallest communications tower. The obligatory revolving restaurant, called Seri Angkasa, offers an international buffet. Batu Caves is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Selangor and just 15km north of KL. The site consists of three big limestone caves, including the main-temple cave which features ornate Hindu shrines. The caves draw pilgrims and tourists from all over the world during the annual Hindu festival, Thaipusam. Thailand: This country is so unique that it is possibly the only nation in the world that has preserved its culture despite its modernization. So if your idea of a perfect getaway is to relax on the beach, have a taste of delicious food, and soak up some distinctive culture, you should consider Thailand vacations. Thailand is often referred to as a golden land, not because there is precious metal buried underground but because the country gives off a certain luster, be it the fertile rice fields of the central plains, white sandy beaches or the warm hospitality of its citizenry. The attractions are obvious enough. Firstly, the beaches: soft white sand, bright turquoise waters, astonishing marine life, and a backcloth of swaying palms and dramatic cliffs. Secondly, the cities: colorful temples, bustling markets, funky bars, mouth-watering food-stalls and swish boutiques. Thirdly, the lush hills and rainforests of the north are prime trekking terrain, with hill-tribes, elephant rides and rafting on offer.
