Shimla is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. In 1864, Shimla was declared the summer capital of the British Raj in India. A popular tourist destination, Shimla is often referred to as the "Queen of Hills," a term coined by the British. Manali in the Beas River valley is an important hill station in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, India, near the northern end of the Kullu Valley. It is located about 250 km (160 mi) north of state capital, Shimla.
Manali with population of approx. 30,000 is administratively a part of the Kullu district. The small town was the beginning of an ancient trade route to Ladakh and from there over the Karakoram Pass on to Yarkand and Khotan in the Tarim Basin.

Day 6: After breakfast Depart for Chandigarh Enroute Visit to Kullu Valley, Manikaran hot water springs and well known pilgrimage place, Pinjore Garden, On arrival Check-In Hotel. Overnight stay at Chandigarh.
Day 7: After breakfast Visit Rock Garden, Rose Garden & Proceed to Delhi, On arrival drop at Airport /Station for Home Destination.

Kufri Shimla
It is better to harbor on Shimla first and then you can avail of a hired car or a bus to reach Kufri. You have to ascend around 16 km towards east from Shimla. The place is positioned on Indian National Highway No. 22. Kufri is a regular stop for Himachal Pradesh Tourism Buses and other buses that travel between Shimla and Narkanda or up to Rampur (via Fagu). A Taxi ride will take less than an hour to reach Kufri from Shimla.
About Manali
Being located in the Himalayan range of mountains, the weather of this hilly region is predominated by a cold atmosphere all through the year, when the average temperature ranges in between 4' C and 30' C.

At an altitude of 6500 m, Lahaul and Spiti valley are two of the most remote valleys in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The two are located on the Indo - Tibet border and have an undeniable charm. Lahaul has high mountains and giant glaciers. Spiti is closer to the Tibet border and is known by various other names - 'middle country', 'World within a world' and 'Palace where the gods live'.
