Nainital is a popular hill station in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and headquarters of Nainital district in the Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalayas. Situated at an altitude of 2,084 metres (6,837 ft) above sea level, Nainital is set in a valley containing a pear-shaped lake, approximately two miles in circumference, and surrounded by mountains, of which the highest are Naina (2,615 m (8,579 ft)) on the north, Deopatha (2,438 m (7,999 ft)) on the west, and Ayarpatha (2,278 m (7,474 ft)) on the south. From the tops of the higher peaks, "magnificent views can be obtained of the vast plain to the south, or of the mass of tangled ridges lying north, bounded by the great snowy range which forms the central axis of the Himalayas.
Day 1: Arrival in Nainital

Day 1 & 2: Nainital
Nainital is a charming hill station located at the foothills of the Kumaon Himalaya and is distinguished for its scenic charm in all over India. It was the most favoured summer retreat of the British as well. Nainital is beautifully nested around the beautiful Naini Lake and offers splendid views of the Himalaya from the uphill, while enjoying the cool crisp air all around. You will feel the colonial charm lingering in its streets and the impressive heritage buildings built in the olden times.
Day 3: Travel to Corbett (2 hrs)
Corbett National Park is named after the famous hunter and conservationist, Jim Corbett. The magnificent Ramganga River flows through the entire length of the Park. Corbett has the highest density of tiger in India. Other carnivores include the leopard, elephant, bear and deer. There are watch towers, elephant safaris and jeep safaris for wildlife viewing. Those interested in angling can try hooking the mahseer fish for sport. Birding treks and horse safaris are also exciting options for the enthusiasts.
Day 4: Travel to Ranikhet (3 hrs)
Gently enveloped amidst dense pine and deodar forest, with a majestic background of Himalayas, Ranikhet indeed has a breath-taking and pristine charm. Away from the hustle-bustle of popular hill stations in India, this is a perfect destination for those who are looking for a calm and peaceful holiday. Day 5: Travel to Nainital for departure to Delhi
After breakfast, travel to Nainital to board the bus to Delhi. This marks the end of the tour.
